Getting ready for #MyFriendAlexa!

So, it’s the first time for me! I am all nervous and confused and searching all those articles on Alexa rank and browsing through twitter with the hashtag, #MyFriendAlexa and literally spamming blogchatter team there with my queries! Thanks God their patient and didn’t block me for this!

But I guess, I have got the main idea digested! It’s a blogging festival! A big one! That’ll eventually help me get a higher performance for my blog and not to forget getting the better ranking at its highness, Alexa. The lower I rank at Alexa, the higher I rank in the blogging world. Plus the interactions and genuine feedback’s I would be getting on my blog would be another positive factor to look forward to.

What’s more? For the love of reading, I get to read some varied works of numerous bloggers all so experienced and amazing writers because of this fest. A minimum of eight or many in one or many niches are welcome here too.

I guess, I should dedicate my September to a month full of variety of niches covered in this blogging fest. I would start a chain of blogs with genres and cover almost all aspects of lifestyle and other niches while we complete the fest. For example, my first blog would be on pregnancy stages while second can be on fashion styles. I can dedicate my third one for food and the fourth one for technology. Similarly, writing on travel for the fifth and finance for the sixth would be a great choice too. I am planning to let my seventh post be dedicated to food and eighth one for travel! Who knows I may even cross the eight figure and write more! May be the ninth one would be on parenting and tenth one can be on home decor ideas and I can even write an eleventh on fiction and more on parenting and more.

Let see if these ideas work and I can survive through this challenge after the A2Z challenge! Wish me luck and stay tuned for a month full of varied and exciting posts!

Hydrating with instacuppa #SuperBloggerChallenge2018.

12 O clock in the noon, April sun already beaming in its hardest form and a huge pile of work to be done! I was already feeling dizzy and parched. A swift movement to get my flask made my office go on a merry go round trip again! I caught the edge of the table, gathered my self together and grabbed the flask with a protein shake in it. The shake prepared at 7.00 am in the morning would have turned almost stagnant right now. I opened it started to drink it, yuk! The smell coming out of it was enough to make me go nauseatic again. I have to do something, I just can’t keep on revolving here and there, again and again, the whole day. I didn’t want to turn in to mother earth you know!

That evening my dietician cum physician was quite angry with me! “I told you never go for over dieting!” She almost gritted her teeth. “But I haven’t. I follow all the diet chart you give me religiously well.” I was beginning to feel like an ill patient already. “Hmmm! When was the last time you had some fluid?” She inquired. “Actually, it was a protein shake, I tried having it in the morning but it had already started smelling awful till noon in that flask thing”. ” oh! So we get the hang of it! You are just dehydrated.” Here, she knows everything. I always boasted amongst my friends that my dietician was a health and fitness google! She knew almost all going in the health and fitness world.

“Well, actually, due to lack of water intake, we often feel that we are hungry. Here, intake of enough water takes its part and helps our body functions go working perfectly well. That’s why staying hydrated is the key to fitness. Even though we may be followings healthy diet full of vitamins and minerals, a dehydrated schedule spoils everything.” She said. “I agree! And that’s why I carry sometimes chilled, sometimes warm water in the flask. But, the cold one turns warm and the warm drink gets a strange taste after some hours. How can I manage to stay hydrated when I am so much busy with my work? I can’t have that strange smelling liquid. Nor can I rush from my cabin each half an hour to get a new fresh detox drink.” I kept my problems in front of her. “Try instacuppa”. she said. ” oh! Now, what’s that? Another bottle of my fitness or detox drink?” “Not a regular bottle. It’s a thermosteel flask. The perfect solution to your problems.”

Then she went on in detail. “Fill in your daily detox liquid in this container. It has a unique infuser rod to keep your fruits in it and a water container with vacuum insulation that ensures that our cold beverages remain cold for 24 hours and hot beverages remain hot up to twelve hours. Perfect for your hot green teas and cold detox liquids. It lets your water stay in your preferred temperature for hours and fresh too.”

“And it won’t smell?” “It won’t smell bad, in fact, your drink will stay fresh as if you’ve just made it.” She was quite confident. “You can check mine here.” She showed me her infuser. “Hmm! This looks good”. ” And can you see its outer coating? It’s beneficial too. The Powder-coated matte finish never sweats, preventing slippery bottles or dreaded stains on wood surfaces. Thus, your infuser stays dry always and the temperature in it remains maintained.”

All those praises went on my head and the next thing on my way home, I ordered my own instacuppa thermosteel flask right away. Delivered the very next day, it certainly was quite a package. Reading all the instructions and following all the guidelines I made my first detox drink in it.

Fruits were sliced and put safely in the rod, water filled up and infuser well locked. I got it all covered in its sweat absorbing cover and yo, we were good to go! Till 10 am, the drink was as it is and even the temperature showed no difference. Let’s wait until mid-afternoon.

I was pleasantly surprised that even after 5 pm in the evening, I felt I was drinking a fresh detox drink. I fell in love with the product. Went home, read again the cleaning instructions, and again filled with some black coffee.

Whoaa! Even after 11 pm at night, I felt I was sipping a freshly made coffee.

Now, my purse has a new guest in its place, the instacuppa infuser. Lifesaver for me and I should say for anyone who needs to stay hydrated and fit or just have a habit of carrying their liquids along with them. I have even gone through their various more unique products and have found them really interesting for regular use too.

Let’s say as of now, I am a huge fan of instacuppa and how got my wishlist full of its various awesome products like an instacuppa fruit infuser water bottle- Tritan edition. and instacuppa green tea detox water bottle- double walled glass edition.

Easy ways to prevent Malaria!

Being a mother I am always conscious of my baby’s health! With the growing onset of diseases in our country, keeping kids healthy is really a huge task to accomplish. Some diseases evolving as a threat for our health are dengue, malaria, chikungunya, zika etc. While most of diseases have got some good vaccination for them, malaria seems to be lagging in it.

Until recently, no perfectly working vaccine to prevent malaria has been recorded, though experts are working on it continuously. Once malaria takes a better grip on the body it may often lead to back to back severe conditions like jaundice, convulsions etc. Thus, making the process of curing a little one becomes a bit lengthy and painful. Prevention is the wise step one can follow to avoid a this fatal disease.

For knowing the prevention factors a more in detail, let’s get to know more about malaria, its causes and some easiest preventive methods which we, mothers must definitely try.

Malaria is a serious disease found in most of the Asian countries. It’s not contagious and is caused by bites of parasites that are transmitted to people through the bite of anopheles mosquito or infected mosquitoes. Once an infected mosquito bites a human, the parasites multiply in the liver and start infecting and destroy red blood cells.

Although the symptoms of malaria vary from person to person, from a kid to an adult, some of the symptoms are common to all. The most common symptoms are fever, headache, nausea and vomiting, weakness and body aches. While, some severe conditions may be diarrhoea, anemia, bloody stools, often coma and death too.

When I researched on it more closely, I found that according to recent studies, NEARLY 95% OF INDIA LIVES IN MALARIA ENDEMIC AREAS This is surely a genuine factor of concern, as even we may be included in the 95% of the population residing in such areas.
Hence, the rising cases of malaria around Asia and in the country is a grave issue to be resolved yet! As this disease proves to be fatal in most of the cases, deaths caused due to malaria is another challenge that world health organization is striving its best to fight with.

Malarial parasites breed on stagnating surroundings like standing water or accumulation of wet garbage.

To avoid it, make sure you don’t let water collect around your area. A regular check on your plantations with proper insecticides can also avoid the mosquitoes.

Mosquitoes often move around biting during the time of twilight. Hence, during dusk and dawn make sure your windows are closed and there is no room for them to enter the house. This is not a guaranteed method though, they may already be hiding in your home somewhere, but taking the precautions may be helpful all the same.

Good knight Activ+ System.

Using a skin friendly mosquito repellent like Good knight Cool Gel is another trustworthy method to avoid those bites when you step out of your house.

Apart from this, wearing full clothes especially for kids and pregnant women can also help in avoiding mosquito bites.

These are some of the easiest ways through which one can avoid being bitten, acquiring the disease and keeping our families more healthier and fit. After all, it’s always said, better prevent it with wisdom rather than cure it with pain!

Clean and pollution free homes maintained easily!

As a parent I am usually so much worried about protecting my child from all odds! I try to make everything around them safe and sound so that they don’t get affected to anything harmful both physically and mentally. It’s a relative feeling to all parents too. We always tend to make sure our kids eat healthy, stay sanitised and stay in a clean surrounding, be protected from harmful diseases and what not, the list is endless. We always do feel something’s not safe even though we make sure everything is!

That’s the reason, I always make sure my kids are wearing mosquito repellents and proper clothings when outdoors to make them safe. At home, I know they are safe. I keep everything super tidy and clean to make sure they are! After all, our little heaven, our home sweet home is a place where we all relax and spend maximum of our times. I feel glad that my kids can stay well protected at our fully equipped home. With cctv cameras, fire extinguishers, modern technology machineries and spic and span clean home, my kids are exactly the best way they ought to be at their home.

But recently, while scrolling through twitter, I read a tweet that grabbed my attention! It said, the inner surroundings of our homes are five times more unsafe and polluted for our kids than the outer surroundings. This just left me so worried. If even after so much maintainence and cleanliness we are not safe at home, then where are we? This polluted air can cause my kids some respiratory diseases and flu too. I just can’t keep my kids masked at home! This thing has to be solved. This polluted air that was five times more dangerous than outer surroundings can effect my children so much.

Well, than I kept on thinking and came up with some ideas to avoid this situation. The answeres that I got were simply easy and can help a lot to avoid the accumulation of dust at home. These are:

  • Maintening door mats at entrance and cleaning and changing it regularly so that the outer dust gets absorbed on the mat.
  • Planting some saplings that’ll help in getting some fresh air at your house.
  • Usage of air freshener and deodorants only when your windows are wide open, so that least of it gets accumulated on your walls.
  • Getting proper sanitisation done after getting furniture polished and walls painted.
  • Keeping the corners clean and moist free with proper cleaning methods.
  • Usage of floor cleaners that provide hundred percent germ free protection. These are some little, easy ways that can keep you relieved that you are doing your best to protect your kids from polluted air. Apart from this, thanks a lot to, I came across this advertisement that provided a guaranteed solution for the problem. Asian paints brings about a new paint with advanced technology, Royal Atmos, a paint that helps purity air and absorbs the dust in air and keeps your home safe and dust free. Hence, making sure my home, sweet home remains safe and heavenly with no danger for my kids health wise or otherwise. To know more just check this video.

10 Tips for a healthy and safe pregnancy!

Pregnancy is a crucial turnover in any woman’s life! So, if you are planning a baby or are pregnant make sure you take certain precautions for the better health of yourself and the child. As mother’s health and fitness plays a key role for the foetus’ proper growth and development and the child’s birth condition. While you are at the stage of having the most prominent change in your life, make sure you take a look at these detailed tips for a better and healthy prenatal and postnatal results.

  • Essential minerals and vitamins: As soon as you get your pregnancy test positive, make sure you get yourself prescribed the best and most suitable vitamins, calcium and folic acid tablets. Although, your diet, which will now be richer in these nutrients may contain these minerals, it may not be enough for a healthy pregnancy. The proper intake of vitamins and folic acid is very essential in the early weeks of pregnancy as it helps in developing the baby’s neural cord, which later changes into the brain and spinal cord of the baby. While, if you miss these folate and vitamins supplements during pregnancy, you face a lot of problems like excessive hair fall, dry skin, etc after the birth of the child.
  • Necessary precautions: The early weeks and the mid weeks of pregnancy can be absolutely delicate. Make sure you just don’t change your positions rapidly and indulge in any vigorous exercise. Avoid weight lifting and standing for a longer period of time. Even sitting on a position that generates a lot of pressure on your pelvis area leads to miscarriages in the early weeks of pregnancy and having a lower placenta line during the mid-term.
  • Proper diet: The one common issue that most pregnant women face is morning nausea. This often stretches more than the mornings and even stays more than the first term too. Hence, it leads to certain nutrition deficiency in pregnant women. Enough of food cannot be consumed at the same time, hence follow a pattern of eating 6 to 8 times a day, within an interval of an hour and a half. Make sure you include loads of cereals in your diet( a high folic acid provider), fruits( contains more of vitamins), milk (a calcium agent) and meat, green vegetables and loads and loads of water and fluids.
  • Avoid disease causing factors: Diseases during pregnancy can be most crucial. They often lead to miscarriages or even a danger to the mother as well. If not that, it often leads to an underweight child being born with major complications too. Hence, a proper care of the pregnant woman is necessary against any disease causing factor. While consuming clean water to avoid water borne diseases is important, viral diseases can be dangerous too. Research have found that pregnant women attract more mosquitoes than a woman who’s not pregnant, this is because our breath becomes heavier and we exhale more carbon dioxide to which the mosquitoes are attracted to. Disease like malaria, dengue and chikungunya are spread by mosquitoes which is extremely difficult to manage during pregnancy. Malaria can also be passed on the placenta and thus even new born would get affected. Avoid mosquito bites at any cost, if you are heading outdoors, don’t forget to apply 4 dots of Good knight Fabric Roll-On, as it is 100% natural product & you apply it on fabric and not directly on skin. Also if you are at home during the daytime – make sure your mosquito repellent machine is turned on, we don’t usually do this but since dengue and chikungunya are caused by day biting mosquitoes it is a must to use a mosquito repellent even during the day. It’s also not advisable to clean your cat’s feces yourself, in order to avoid Toxoplasmosis which can be dangerous for pregnant women.
  • Exercise: A regular session of exercise and walk is extremely important for a pregnant women in order to deliver a healthy baby and keep herself fit even after the child birth. Research shows, pregnant women who indulge in more yoga and exercise tend to have a comparably easy natal time. While, a regular walk of at least forty five minutes is recommended by doctors at the last term of your pregnancy too.
  • Decreasing stress level: Most experts agree that a happy mother gives birth to a healthy and happy kid! Why not, the baby is the closest one to the mother during pregnancy, hence the vibes, positive or negative- tend to spread even during that time. Other than that, an increased level of stress often leads to blood pressure soaring high at the time of birth and resulting in pre-eclampsia, thus it leads to doctors opting for cesarean child birth.
  • Taking up hobbies and interests: Gaining appropriate amount of rest is also advisable to pregnant women. But you can’t just stick on to the bed to rest and gain more weight than you already are! So, better indulge in some activities that makes you believe your mind from stress and also keeps you relaxed and busy. Read some books for the coming transformation in your life and the preparations you have to make accordingly. Or just listen to good music while you bake some good nutritious cookies to have when you have mid night cravings.
  • Avoid excess citric acid: Although citric acid is called to be one of the healthy sources of essential minerals in body, but consuming excess of it during the last term of pregnancy can lead to swelling in certain parts of your body like legs, face etc. Although during the first weeks of pregnancy citric fruits and lemon are recommended for the relief of nausea, but it is better to avoid them in the later weeks as during pregnancy de-calcification is quite common and your bones and teeth are more prone to it. The high amount of citric acid present inside lemons are capable of damaging your teeth enamel and may lead to serious dental problems too.
  • Avoid excessive spices: As said before, a good diet leads to a healthy pregnancy and in the end to a healthy baby being delivered. But the cravings that pregnant women often face are incredible. This often leads to women having lots of spicy food and later complaints of heart burns and acidic reactions in urine. So, it’s better to keep your spice measures and cravings in control if you want a pregnancy that’s free of acidic problems. While, research also shows that more spicy food during pregnancy may often lead to skin reactions and a high blood pressure too.
  • Limiting the intake of sea food: While seafood is the richest source of proteins and omega 3 which is highly essential mineral for a better IQ development, it also contains a higher level of mercury. Being a toxic metal, it causes serious nervous damage in a person. Hence it’s best recommended for a pregnant woman to reduce fish intake. You can have some walnuts instead in order to attain the minerals which you cannot get due to avoiding fish consumption. Pregnancy and motherhood is tough no doubt, but taking a proper care of your health during this period is necessary too. With these tips, you cover a large portion of essential precautions needed during your pregnancy terms. And all these efforts are actually worth in the end. After all, you are carrying a bundle of joy along with you for a long period of nine months, wouldn’t you love it to be the most healthy and beautiful baby?
