A day at kidzania!

“I want to become a doctor !” And the answer to this was, “yeah! Why not? When you grow up!” Remember these lines being repeated through out your childhood, we always wished if someone could say, “oh yes! You can become that today itself!” A dream it may sound though, but it’s turned to a beautiful reality for today’s growing generation of kids. How? Well, lets send all the credits of the same to kidzania, a theme park with hundred plus role play activities for kids. Getting famous globally for its unique theme and amazing experience with kids, kidzania has spread it’s wings in India too. Mumbai prides in having it’s very own kidzania at R city mall, Ghatkopar. A fun destination for your kids for the whole day with great lot of activities and entertainment awaits here. I was really impressed glancing through the glasses of northern wing of R city mall to catch the glimpse of this amazing new world for our kids. With security bracelets tightened on our wrists, and a check of 50 kidzoes (the currency of kidzania) we stepped in to the world of awesomeness. This new world seemed to never have experienced a grey day or a sunset for that matter. The beautiful blue sky and the lush green trees promised a good spring season in here even when it was raining cats and dogs outside.The glamour of the stores and the beauty of the well built buildings and offices would certainly aww you. The clean and well maintained lanes and alleys intersected at proper points giving way to more incredible stops to explore. The special seats and lounge rooms for parents are made for convenience too, not that you’ll need them, all thanks to the excitement of watching your kids play multiple roles all in a day. The first step was encashing the cheque at the Yes bank for some kidzoes notes and moving ahead for the tasks to complete. All these process including encashing the cheques needed a brief scanning of your bracelets.

All the tasks you did are either plus or minus, when you chose a plus signed task, you get to earn for your services. While if you chose the latter, you tend to spend some of your kidzoes. Hence, the balance seems proportional and exciting too. This gave my kids the understanding that whenever you need to spend somewhere, you must earn in order to be able to do that. My clever little money minded chaps planned to earn loads and later to spend them generously. Hence, they went for being a dabba wala first. This gave them an opportunity to deliver some dabbas across the kidzania city and earn some kidzoes in return of it. So, along with a white coat, a safety cap and a typical dabba wala cap, went my kids with a cart to collect and deliver the dabbas. Wherever they went, they were greeted with a cheerful ki (Hi in their language) and a victory sign to go with it. This task took no more than fifteen minutes by the kids at a regular pace. This done, they went to get some knowledge on examination and testing of fruits. For this they have to set off collect and examine some fresh kiwis and write the results of it on a writing pad all in a group of three. Again, this led them earning some more kidzoes. This one took approximately 15 minutes of time.

After this they loved being able to spend some kidzoes to go for a kidzania certified culinary course at bajaj electricals school. Fashion show and modelling is what girls aspire the most. My daughters after spending some kidzoes, got to be trained for a fashion show and walk the ramp in a theatre in some lavish and cool clothes with an astounding style

My kids were overwhelmed to try out preparing mango Frooti exactly the way it’s made at the factory and later getting a complimentary pack of the same within 20 minutes and even earning some kidzoes. Well, haven’t we got so many kidzoes notes to take care of? So, we opted to get a debit card instead from yes bank and use that. It was pretty easy with just depositing your kidzoes in the bank and getting your bracelet scanned and yo, we get th debit cards with our names and details in it. So, here we took off to become a dentist by examining a patient’s tooth from nearby and do the needful tasks to cure the same with in just 20 minutes. Those Kellogg’s chocos they munched so rapidly, they never knew it took so many efforts to get it made up and packed. Well, they learnt all that and made some too at the kidzania chocos outlet within 20 minutes and spending some kidzoes. The yummy art of making a super yummy donuts was exceptional. They loved working through out tipping generous chocolate on the fresh donuts and ravishing it later. They also became an expert in making Sbarro’s delectable pizzas and Hardy’s scrumptious burgers and even try and taste their work with so much pride. I must say, for all the curios minds out there and those exploring little souls, kidzania is the best place to get to play all the roles they so much aspire in their life. The experiences they normally couldn’t even go near, can be experienced first hand with experts trainee staff in the most gentle way possible. The charming affectionate smile you get here is contagious plus not to forget the various add on activities according to the dates and festivals like the Ganesh chaturthi event that happened here with a thali decoration and an amazing group dance on Ganesh festival. 10 Tips for a healthy and safe pregnancy!

Pregnancy is a crucial turnover in any woman’s life! So, if you are planning a baby or are pregnant make sure you take certain precautions for the better health of yourself and the child. As mother’s health and fitness plays a key role for the foetus’ proper growth and development and the child’s birth condition. While you are at the stage of having the most prominent change in your life, make sure you take a look at these detailed tips for a better and healthy prenatal and postnatal results.

  • Essential minerals and vitamins: As soon as you get your pregnancy test positive, make sure you get yourself prescribed the best and most suitable vitamins, calcium and folic acid tablets. Although, your diet, which will now be richer in these nutrients may contain these minerals, it may not be enough for a healthy pregnancy. The proper intake of vitamins and folic acid is very essential in the early weeks of pregnancy as it helps in developing the baby’s neural cord, which later changes into the brain and spinal cord of the baby. While, if you miss these folate and vitamins supplements during pregnancy, you face a lot of problems like excessive hair fall, dry skin, etc after the birth of the child.

Research have found that pregnant women attract more mosquitoes than a woman who’s not pregnant, this is because our breath becomes heavier and we exhale more carbon dioxide to which the mosquitoes are attracted to. Disease like malaria, dengue and chikungunya are spread by mosquitoes which is extremely difficult to manage during pregnancy. Malaria can also be passed on the placenta and thus even new born would get affected.
