While, if you miss these folate and vitamins supplements during pregnancy, you face a lot of problems like excessive hair fall, dry skin, etc after the birth of the child.
  • Necessary precautions: The early weeks and the mid weeks of pregnancy can be absolutely delicate. Make sure you just don’t change your positions rapidly and indulge in any vigorous exercise. Avoid weight lifting and standing for a longer period of time. Even sitting on a position that generates a lot of pressure on your pelvis area leads to miscarriages in the early weeks of pregnancy and having a lower placenta line during the mid-term.
  • Proper diet: The one common issue that most pregnant women face is morning nausea. This often stretches more than the mornings and even stays more than the first term too. Hence, it leads to certain nutrition deficiency in pregnant women. Enough of food cannot be consumed at the same time, hence follow a pattern of eating 6 to 8 times a day, within an interval of an hour and a half. Make sure you include loads of cereals in your diet( a high folic acid provider), fruits( contains more of vitamins), milk (a calcium agent) and meat, green vegetables and loads and loads of water and fluids.
  • Avoid disease causing factors: Diseases during pregnancy can be most crucial. They often lead to miscarriages or even a danger to the mother as well. If not that, it often leads to an underweight child being born with major complications too. Hence, a proper care of the pregnant woman is necessary against any disease causing factor. While consuming clean water to avoid water borne diseases is important, viral diseases can be dangerous too. Research have found that pregnant women attract more mosquitoes than a woman who’s not pregnant, this is because our breath becomes heavier and we exhale more carbon dioxide to which the mosquitoes are attracted to. Disease like malaria, dengue and chikungunya are spread by mosquitoes which is extremely difficult to manage during pregnancy. Malaria can also be passed on the placenta and thus even new born would get affected. Avoid mosquito bites at any cost, if you are heading outdoors, don’t forget to apply 4 dots of Good knight Fabric Roll-On, as it is 100% natural product & you apply it on fabric and not directly on skin. Also if you are at home during the daytime – make sure your mosquito repellent machine is turned on, we don’t usually do this but since dengue and chikungunya are caused by day biting mosquitoes it is a must to use a mosquito repellent even during the day. It’s also not advisable to clean your cat’s feces yourself, in order to avoid Toxoplasmosis which can be dangerous for pregnant women.
  • Exercise: A regular session of exercise and walk is extremely important for a pregnant women in order to deliver a healthy baby and keep herself fit even after the child birth. • Decreasing stress level: Most experts agree that a happy mother gives birth to a healthy and happy kid! Why not, the baby is the closest one to the mother during pregnancy, hence the vibes, positive or negative- tend to spread even during that time. Other than that, an increased level of stress often leads to blood pressure soaring high at the time of birth and resulting in pre-eclampsia, thus it leads to doctors opting for cesarean child birth.
  • Taking up hobbies and interests: Gaining appropriate amount of rest is also advisable to pregnant women. But you can’t just stick on to the bed to rest and gain more weight than you already are! So, better indulge in some activities that makes you believe your mind from stress and also keeps you relaxed and busy. Read some books for the coming transformation in your life and the preparations you have to make accordingly. Or just listen to good music while you bake some good nutritious cookies to have when you have mid night cravings.
  • Avoid excess citric acid: Although citric acid is called to be one of the healthy sources of essential minerals in body, but consuming excess of it during the last term of pregnancy can lead to swelling in certain parts of your body like legs, face etc. Although during the first weeks of pregnancy citric fruits and lemon are recommended for the relief of nausea, but it is better to avoid them in the later weeks as during pregnancy de-calcification is quite common and your bones and teeth are more prone to it. The high amount of citric acid present inside lemons are capable of damaging your teeth enamel and may lead to serious dental problems too.
  • Avoid excessive spices: As said before, a good diet leads to a healthy pregnancy and in the end to a healthy baby being delivered. But the cravings that pregnant women often face are incredible. This often leads to women having lots of spicy food and later complaints of heart burns and acidic reactions in urine. So, it’s better to keep your spice measures and cravings in control if you want a pregnancy that’s free of acidic problems. While, research also shows that more spicy food during pregnancy may often lead to skin reactions and a high blood pressure too.
  • Limiting the intake of sea food: While seafood is the richest source of proteins and omega 3 which is highly essential mineral for a better IQ development, it also contains a higher level of mercury. Being a toxic metal, it causes serious nervous damage in a person. Hence it’s best recommended for a pregnant woman to reduce fish intake.
