Getting ready for #MyFriendAlexa!

So, it’s the first time for me! I am all nervous and confused and searching all those articles on Alexa rank and browsing through twitter with the hashtag, #MyFriendAlexa and literally spamming blogchatter team there with my queries! Thanks God their patient and didn’t block me for this!

But I guess, I have got the main idea digested! It’s a blogging festival! A big one! That’ll eventually help me get a higher performance for my blog and not to forget getting the better ranking at its highness, Alexa. The lower I rank at Alexa, the higher I rank in the blogging world. Plus the interactions and genuine feedback’s I would be getting on my blog would be another positive factor to look forward to.

What’s more? For the love of reading, I get to read some varied works of numerous bloggers all so experienced and amazing writers because of this fest. A minimum of eight or many in one or many niches are welcome here too.

I guess, I should dedicate my September to a month full of variety of niches covered in this blogging fest. I would start a chain of blogs with genres and cover almost all aspects of lifestyle and other niches while we complete the fest. For example, my first blog would be on pregnancy stages while second can be on fashion styles. I can dedicate my third one for food and the fourth one for technology. Similarly, writing on travel for the fifth and finance for the sixth would be a great choice too. I am planning to let my seventh post be dedicated to food and eighth one for travel! Who knows I may even cross the eight figure and write more! May be the ninth one would be on parenting and tenth one can be on home decor ideas and I can even write an eleventh on fiction and more on parenting and more.

Let see if these ideas work and I can survive through this challenge after the A2Z challenge! Wish me luck and stay tuned for a month full of varied and exciting posts!

10 Tips for a healthy and safe pregnancy!

Pregnancy is a crucial turnover in any woman’s life! So, if you are planning a baby or are pregnant make sure you take certain precautions for the better health of yourself and the child. As mother’s health and fitness plays a key role for the foetus’ proper growth and development and the child’s birth condition. While you are at the stage of having the most prominent change in your life, make sure you take a look at these detailed tips for a better and healthy prenatal and postnatal results.

  • Essential minerals and vitamins: As soon as you get your pregnancy test positive, make sure you get yourself prescribed the best and most suitable vitamins, calcium and folic acid tablets. Although, your diet, which will now be richer in these nutrients may contain these minerals, it may not be enough for a healthy pregnancy. The proper intake of vitamins and folic acid is very essential in the early weeks of pregnancy as it helps in developing the baby’s neural cord, which later changes into the brain and spinal cord of the baby. While, if you miss these folate and vitamins supplements during pregnancy, you face a lot of problems like excessive hair fall, dry skin, etc after the birth of the child.
  • Necessary precautions: The early weeks and the mid weeks of pregnancy can be absolutely delicate. Make sure you just don’t change your positions rapidly and indulge in any vigorous exercise. Avoid weight lifting and standing for a longer period of time. Even sitting on a position that generates a lot of pressure on your pelvis area leads to miscarriages in the early weeks of pregnancy and having a lower placenta line during the mid-term.
  • Proper diet: The one common issue that most pregnant women face is morning nausea. This often stretches more than the mornings and even stays more than the first term too. Hence, it leads to certain nutrition deficiency in pregnant women. Enough of food cannot be consumed at the same time, hence follow a pattern of eating 6 to 8 times a day, within an interval of an hour and a half. Make sure you include loads of cereals in your diet( a high folic acid provider), fruits( contains more of vitamins), milk (a calcium agent) and meat, green vegetables and loads and loads of water and fluids.
  • Avoid disease causing factors: Diseases during pregnancy can be most crucial. They often lead to miscarriages or even a danger to the mother as well. If not that, it often leads to an underweight child being born with major complications too. Hence, a proper care of the pregnant woman is necessary against any disease causing factor. While consuming clean water to avoid water borne diseases is important, viral diseases can be dangerous too. Research have found that pregnant women attract more mosquitoes than a woman who’s not pregnant, this is because our breath becomes heavier and we exhale more carbon dioxide to which the mosquitoes are attracted to. Disease like malaria, dengue and chikungunya are spread by mosquitoes which is extremely difficult to manage during pregnancy. Malaria can also be passed on the placenta and thus even new born would get affected. Avoid mosquito bites at any cost, if you are heading outdoors, don’t forget to apply 4 dots of Good knight Fabric Roll-On, as it is 100% natural product & you apply it on fabric and not directly on skin. Also if you are at home during the daytime – make sure your mosquito repellent machine is turned on, we don’t usually do this but since dengue and chikungunya are caused by day biting mosquitoes it is a must to use a mosquito repellent even during the day. It’s also not advisable to clean your cat’s feces yourself, in order to avoid Toxoplasmosis which can be dangerous for pregnant women.
  • Exercise: A regular session of exercise and walk is extremely important for a pregnant women in order to deliver a healthy baby and keep herself fit even after the child birth. Research shows, pregnant women who indulge in more yoga and exercise tend to have a comparably easy natal time. While, a regular walk of at least forty five minutes is recommended by doctors at the last term of your pregnancy too.
  • Decreasing stress level: Most experts agree that a happy mother gives birth to a healthy and happy kid! Why not, the baby is the closest one to the mother during pregnancy, hence the vibes, positive or negative- tend to spread even during that time. Other than that, an increased level of stress often leads to blood pressure soaring high at the time of birth and resulting in pre-eclampsia, thus it leads to doctors opting for cesarean child birth.
  • Taking up hobbies and interests: Gaining appropriate amount of rest is also advisable to pregnant women. But you can’t just stick on to the bed to rest and gain more weight than you already are! So, better indulge in some activities that makes you believe your mind from stress and also keeps you relaxed and busy. Read some books for the coming transformation in your life and the preparations you have to make accordingly. Or just listen to good music while you bake some good nutritious cookies to have when you have mid night cravings.
  • Avoid excess citric acid: Although citric acid is called to be one of the healthy sources of essential minerals in body, but consuming excess of it during the last term of pregnancy can lead to swelling in certain parts of your body like legs, face etc. Although during the first weeks of pregnancy citric fruits and lemon are recommended for the relief of nausea, but it is better to avoid them in the later weeks as during pregnancy de-calcification is quite common and your bones and teeth are more prone to it. The high amount of citric acid present inside lemons are capable of damaging your teeth enamel and may lead to serious dental problems too.
  • Avoid excessive spices: As said before, a good diet leads to a healthy pregnancy and in the end to a healthy baby being delivered. But the cravings that pregnant women often face are incredible. This often leads to women having lots of spicy food and later complaints of heart burns and acidic reactions in urine. So, it’s better to keep your spice measures and cravings in control if you want a pregnancy that’s free of acidic problems. While, research also shows that more spicy food during pregnancy may often lead to skin reactions and a high blood pressure too.
  • Limiting the intake of sea food: While seafood is the richest source of proteins and omega 3 which is highly essential mineral for a better IQ development, it also contains a higher level of mercury. Being a toxic metal, it causes serious nervous damage in a person. Hence it’s best recommended for a pregnant woman to reduce fish intake. You can have some walnuts instead in order to attain the minerals which you cannot get due to avoiding fish consumption. Pregnancy and motherhood is tough no doubt, but taking a proper care of your health during this period is necessary too. With these tips, you cover a large portion of essential precautions needed during your pregnancy terms. And all these efforts are actually worth in the end. After all, you are carrying a bundle of joy along with you for a long period of nine months, wouldn’t you love it to be the most healthy and beautiful baby?

Everyday of being mommy!

The Indian Blogger Awards 2017

Getting up with the rising sun but feeling still sleepy! Going on, starting those chores. Doesn’t feel like smiling, but still I do when i wake up ny little one for school. Rushing and running within fifteen minutes of getting up so that the kid isn’t late to school. Doesn’t feel like cooking, bit still I do, make a meal, a healthier one, for my little one.

Pheww!! The child’s gone! Oh my God!! Husband needs to be woken up. Rush, rush rush!! Wake him up, prepare a good breakfast, pack the tiffin and pheww! Even he’s gone.

Let’s heave a sigh of relief! Oh Gosh! Baby is tossing, Oh my God! nooo, not now! But this one didn’t hear that. Why? Because he’s already crying on top of his voice. Run, run, run! Get him a feed. Oh God! He’s still screaming, let atleast the milk heat itself a little. Yeah, finally. He’s happy with the feed, gives me a smile and wait, ohh, finished it already and is already on an another mission.

Don’t tell me! How can he load his diaper when I haven’t even had a proper five minutes in bathroom? But who cares? ,He needs immediate attention or else, you know, your hears are going to be banged with loads to clean too. Noo! Not that mess, let’s get over this.

Ok, bathed and dressed, we seem to be happy playing with those blocks. Let’s get the cleaning done. Glad, bedroom looks fantastic, let’s get to kitchen and have some food. Feels good to have something finally after being running around the house for two hours consecutively. Ok, so little one enters here too toddling slowly and giving cute smile. Let’s share the meal!

Half of the meal in clothes and hopefully half in tummy, get him cleaned again, let’s head to the bedroom. Blink blink! Am I dreaming? Thought so there was a bed of mine behind those heap of topsy turvy things out there! The very perfectly managed room was all trashed and messed. I get a cute smile back when I stare at the culprit standing with me.

Four hours past! Hush! Baby’s asleep, lunch is cooked. I am full, let’s take a nap. Haww!! Feels great lying down and my eyelids are already dropping. Ding ting ding! Doorbell rings. Ok, the elder one’s home! “Hey, welcome back”, although feeling extremely sleepy, the glad fresh smile is genuine.

Well, sleep is a forgotten story, time to be a tutor after refreshing and fulling up the tummy of this big guy. Not to forget, the junior is around the corner on a mission against studies, tutor and especially on those pages of the books. Sigh! Two hours, literature and mathematics done, with hushing the little one away from the colourful books and stopping him from snatching those pencils.

Cooking time is the toughest! Both of them seem to be having all sorts of nature calls, fights and urgent needs at the same time. Doreamon acts like an angel at that time. Well, as fast as I can, cooking task gets completed. When mr. Daddy comes, I get a partner in dealing with the hoolygons, a little tired one though!

After dinner house looks like a whole cyclone has passes through it. Getting them in bed, a task to be completed any how immediately because I want to read something today, let’s see if I get some time and energy for it. Afer all those alleged calls from lions, bears and ugly old lady, they are finally snoring.

Oh my, my! I just couldn’t describe the bliss I feel when I see both of them fast asleep! And when I glanced at their dad, I know he feels the same. Too tired even to move, I yawned, showered and was ready to just drop dead, reading, can wait! Thank God, tomorrow’s a sunday. But I’ll have to wake up early tomorrow too, because the little one needs attention at 7a.m. in the morning. But that can be compensated as I have their dad to share the load.

With drooping eyes, I got a bomb to hear, “let’s go for a picnic tomorrow!” Eyes opened wide I repeated, “picnic tomorrow?” And the cassette started playing, getting the two excited kids ready, preparing all the snacks and drinks, managing the two fidgeting souls trying to drag almost everything they get their hands on, and not to forget the travel sickness to go with it. Ok, so let’s drop the plan, it’s going to be a huge flop!

But then, I glanced at those sleeping little ones and imagined all the glory they are going to feel and the exploring they are going to do, I smiled. said ,”yes, let’s go for a picnic tomorrow!” I know I would be dead tired when I’ll be back, would regret each second when they’ll drive me nuts, would end up being more crazy, but it’s ok, I’ll be glad! Feel the most pleasure ful seeing my kids happy. Well, that’s being a mommy, that’s motherhood!!
