Health ! A prime concern in each of our life . But ,most of us treat it like a burden . We often believe being healthy is related to lots of physical wearing down of our body muscles , our eating or rather starving ourselves. That’s the stereotype vicious circle reigning in all those people’s minds who want desperately to start on a healthy diet with a little bit of daily exercise but are reluctant because of these myth that’s been consistently repeated to us in the society .
I , as a person am very particular about the nutritional value of any food that I intake and always fidget with those ingredients that I pull and grab in the desserts I make or food I prepare. But whenever I try in taking more nutritional value in the food , the taste used to minimise .And when I tried coping up with the taste , the amount of calories that went in the dish made it impossible for me to have it more than a few spoons. One thing was for sure , if I wanted healthy food I would have to compromise with my taste bud’s cravings . And if I wanted something relishing to ravish , the health value have to be just forgotten about .
Then , few days prior , I came around something that actually read like
healthy is yummy
oh my ! Did I really read that appropriately ? Yup , it was a hashtag close to trending on twitter by the brand OptimumNutrition that just read #HealthyIsYummy! !
Blink blink did my eyes ! Grabbed the chance did I ! This handle was actually quite serious about breaking the myth that healthy is not yummy . And who better than me can understand the need of this topic. So I readily and quite eagerly if I say properly , accepted the invite to the
healthy is yummy
event by OptimumNutrition which was to be held at Out of the blue outlet of Le Sutra hotel , khar , Mumbai.
A little late , but warmly welcomed I took my seat around the corner of this sweet little hotel . The demonstration already started but I don’t think I missed much because the chef , Ruhee Bhimani , founder of CocoaCottage,was quite an expert in her work .She gradually but effeciently showed us the recipe of a rich chocolate mousse with a volunteer who was all too eager to help out at anything he can .
This mousse was actually made up including high fibre products like dates , almond flour , casein chocolate, almond milk and xyltol and without any use of fresh or whip cream !Can you belive it ? She actually managed to find us an easiest recipe of chocolate mousse without using much of calories products. A lot of mixing up the mousse mixture was done which led to a proper smooth mixture actually oxidised to perfection . Offered later another twin replica of this mousse with an orange twinge tasted heavenly and this mousse prepared on the spot was even a better version of that heavenly dessert! I would rate this mousse a 10/10 with all that exotic taste made up only in 10 minutes .
After this those sesame truffles were passed on that you can have pre workout or post workout . These are the delightful chocolate truffles covered with sesame and included healthy ingredients like fig, gold standard whey protein, pure chocolate, Brazilian nuts and sesame which made the texture so soft that made it melt in my mouth . And one prominent thing I haven’t mentioned is that casein is a vital ingredients in all these recipes .
Which is a slow digestive protien used to sweeten a little bit in a much healthier way.
Next was the awesome hazelnut fudge prepared with hazelnut flour,gold standard chocolate whey ,casein and a little amount of flaxseed oil . Taste , you can say I was speechless ! Fudge had never ever before been such a yummy delight for me and that too without guilt . Definitely a boon which made it rate 9.5 /10 .
There were also these peanut butter brownies .A really really healthier version of brownie consisting of pure chocolate, peanut butter ,chia seeds , almond flour and gold standard casein that literally led our mouth water with an exhilarating taste that made it rate 10/10 again .
And last but not the least were the cookies that were I think so the first ever I tasted without maida. It was oats and flaxseed cookies made up from oats , gold standard casien vanilla , flaxseed and coconut powder. Amazingly healthy and tasty to the chore. Crisp was the bite that made it surely a delightful delicacy to relish and rate as 10/10
This was a part of those healthy desserts that were prepare out there in the event .But apart from these , I gained an impressive knowledge about the difference between regular use of sugar granules and casien , about chocolate compounds and pure chocolates. The amount of nutrients that’s really an essential in our daily life .And the amount of amino acids that are regularly in taken through our diets and how much ratio is needed.
After this knowledgeable session , I am too eagerly waiting for the recipes and thier videos that are going to be live soon by CocoaCottage and OptimumNutrition made especially by Ruhee Bhimani, an exceptional chef I should say with the most innovative ways of preparing desserts the most healthy way.
The fun event ended up with a happy note and friendly gesture with the whole team a sweet gesture of gifting a goody bag and take away of those delicacy for my family too . Glad , I went there ! Lucky , I got a chance to collaborate with the most famous health food US based brand ! Elated , I can actually hog up all those rich , delicious desserts without actually gaining much calories and feeling guilty ! And exited , that I can try all those at easily at home too and that too pretty fast !

And finally that erotic myth otherwise is broken .phewww !!
