Xplorabox- The best way to keep your child away from gadgets!

Twenty first century kids are better known as digital kids! The ones who are always engrossed in gadgets to kill the times or rather to waste it. Parents are always concerned in keeping them off these gadgets to avoid the severe consequences following the digital addiction. But around 80% of these parents aren’t successful for the same. Most of the times they aren’t getting the perfect methods to replace the gadgets which should be compatible enough to occupy the kids and couldn’t quench their thirst for creativity.

Under these circumstances, Xplorabox comes to our rescue! They have got a range of creative mind games for kids of all ages which leaves them little or no time to grab those gadgets. They offer monthly subscription boxes of various themes in justified rates and not even a single theme is repeated . Thus, the kids get a monthly dose of creative games to keep them occupied and test their skills and even intensify it.

I tried their September subscription box of little space traveller for my daughter. Its the best one to keep a five year old naughty tot totally occupied and busy. The easiest way to let them know how to expire space and get some more education of the solar system. I just loved how it was packed systematically in which each different game was neatly wrapped in a different, convenient packaging with an instruction manual along with it.

The games in it included of:

That’s was keeping my little one all hooked up recently and getting more knowledge on our solar system and space and she’s bubbling with joy and is full of praises for this game. I am sure all those parents with little ones are getting tempted to try this out for sure.

‘I am taking my Alexa rank to the next level with Blogchatter’

Getting ready for #MyFriendAlexa!

So, it’s the first time for me! I am all nervous and confused and searching all those articles on Alexa rank and browsing through twitter with the hashtag, #MyFriendAlexa and literally spamming blogchatter team there with my queries! Thanks God their patient and didn’t block me for this!

But I guess, I have got the main idea digested! It’s a blogging festival! A big one! That’ll eventually help me get a higher performance for my blog and not to forget getting the better ranking at its highness, Alexa. The lower I rank at Alexa, the higher I rank in the blogging world. Plus the interactions and genuine feedback’s I would be getting on my blog would be another positive factor to look forward to.

What’s more? For the love of reading, I get to read some varied works of numerous bloggers all so experienced and amazing writers because of this fest. A minimum of eight or many in one or many niches are welcome here too.

I guess, I should dedicate my September to a month full of variety of niches covered in this blogging fest. I would start a chain of blogs with genres and cover almost all aspects of lifestyle and other niches while we complete the fest. For example, my first blog would be on pregnancy stages while second can be on fashion styles. I can dedicate my third one for food and the fourth one for technology. Similarly, writing on travel for the fifth and finance for the sixth would be a great choice too. I am planning to let my seventh post be dedicated to food and eighth one for travel! Who knows I may even cross the eight figure and write more! May be the ninth one would be on parenting and tenth one can be on home decor ideas and I can even write an eleventh on fiction and more on parenting and more.

Let see if these ideas work and I can survive through this challenge after the A2Z challenge! Wish me luck and stay tuned for a month full of varied and exciting posts!

Easy ways to prevent Malaria!

Being a mother I am always conscious of my baby’s health! With the growing onset of diseases in our country, keeping kids healthy is really a huge task to accomplish. Some diseases evolving as a threat for our health are dengue, malaria, chikungunya, zika etc. While most of diseases have got some good vaccination for them, malaria seems to be lagging in it.

Until recently, no perfectly working vaccine to prevent malaria has been recorded, though experts are working on it continuously. Once malaria takes a better grip on the body it may often lead to back to back severe conditions like jaundice, convulsions etc. Thus, making the process of curing a little one becomes a bit lengthy and painful. Prevention is the wise step one can follow to avoid a this fatal disease.

For knowing the prevention factors a more in detail, let’s get to know more about malaria, its causes and some easiest preventive methods which we, mothers must definitely try.

Malaria is a serious disease found in most of the Asian countries. It’s not contagious and is caused by bites of parasites that are transmitted to people through the bite of anopheles mosquito or infected mosquitoes. Once an infected mosquito bites a human, the parasites multiply in the liver and start infecting and destroy red blood cells.

Although the symptoms of malaria vary from person to person, from a kid to an adult, some of the symptoms are common to all. The most common symptoms are fever, headache, nausea and vomiting, weakness and body aches. While, some severe conditions may be diarrhoea, anemia, bloody stools, often coma and death too.

When I researched on it more closely, I found that according to recent studies, NEARLY 95% OF INDIA LIVES IN MALARIA ENDEMIC AREAS This is surely a genuine factor of concern, as even we may be included in the 95% of the population residing in such areas.
Hence, the rising cases of malaria around Asia and in the country is a grave issue to be resolved yet! As this disease proves to be fatal in most of the cases, deaths caused due to malaria is another challenge that world health organization is striving its best to fight with.

Malarial parasites breed on stagnating surroundings like standing water or accumulation of wet garbage.

To avoid it, make sure you don’t let water collect around your area. A regular check on your plantations with proper insecticides can also avoid the mosquitoes.

Mosquitoes often move around biting during the time of twilight. Hence, during dusk and dawn make sure your windows are closed and there is no room for them to enter the house. This is not a guaranteed method though, they may already be hiding in your home somewhere, but taking the precautions may be helpful all the same.

Good knight Activ+ System.

Using a skin friendly mosquito repellent like Good knight Cool Gel is another trustworthy method to avoid those bites when you step out of your house.

Apart from this, wearing full clothes especially for kids and pregnant women can also help in avoiding mosquito bites.

These are some of the easiest ways through which one can avoid being bitten, acquiring the disease and keeping our families more healthier and fit. After all, it’s always said, better prevent it with wisdom rather than cure it with pain!

Clean and pollution free homes maintained easily!

As a parent I am usually so much worried about protecting my child from all odds! I try to make everything around them safe and sound so that they don’t get affected to anything harmful both physically and mentally. It’s a relative feeling to all parents too. We always tend to make sure our kids eat healthy, stay sanitised and stay in a clean surrounding, be protected from harmful diseases and what not, the list is endless. We always do feel something’s not safe even though we make sure everything is!

That’s the reason, I always make sure my kids are wearing mosquito repellents and proper clothings when outdoors to make them safe. At home, I know they are safe. I keep everything super tidy and clean to make sure they are! After all, our little heaven, our home sweet home is a place where we all relax and spend maximum of our times. I feel glad that my kids can stay well protected at our fully equipped home. With cctv cameras, fire extinguishers, modern technology machineries and spic and span clean home, my kids are exactly the best way they ought to be at their home.

But recently, while scrolling through twitter, I read a tweet that grabbed my attention! It said, the inner surroundings of our homes are five times more unsafe and polluted for our kids than the outer surroundings. This just left me so worried. If even after so much maintainence and cleanliness we are not safe at home, then where are we? This polluted air can cause my kids some respiratory diseases and flu too. I just can’t keep my kids masked at home! This thing has to be solved. This polluted air that was five times more dangerous than outer surroundings can effect my children so much.

Well, than I kept on thinking and came up with some ideas to avoid this situation. The answeres that I got were simply easy and can help a lot to avoid the accumulation of dust at home. These are:

  • Maintening door mats at entrance and cleaning and changing it regularly so that the outer dust gets absorbed on the mat.
  • Planting some saplings that’ll help in getting some fresh air at your house.
  • Usage of air freshener and deodorants only when your windows are wide open, so that least of it gets accumulated on your walls.
  • Getting proper sanitisation done after getting furniture polished and walls painted.
  • Keeping the corners clean and moist free with proper cleaning methods.
  • Usage of floor cleaners that provide hundred percent germ free protection. These are some little, easy ways that can keep you relieved that you are doing your best to protect your kids from polluted air. Apart from this, thanks a lot to indiblogger.in, I came across this advertisement that provided a guaranteed solution for the problem. Asian paints brings about a new paint with advanced technology, Royal Atmos, a paint that helps purity air and absorbs the dust in air and keeps your home safe and dust free. Hence, making sure my home, sweet home remains safe and heavenly with no danger for my kids health wise or otherwise. To know more just check this video.https://youtu.be/7Ivq4-jf_Lw

A day at kidzania!

“I want to become a doctor !” And the answer to this was, “yeah! Why not? When you grow up!” Remember these lines being repeated through out your childhood, we always wished if someone could say, “oh yes! You can become that today itself!” A dream it may sound though, but it’s turned to a beautiful reality for today’s growing generation of kids. How? Well, lets send all the credits of the same to kidzania, a theme park with hundred plus role play activities for kids. Getting famous globally for its unique theme and amazing experience with kids, kidzania has spread it’s wings in India too. Mumbai prides in having it’s very own kidzania at R city mall, Ghatkopar. A fun destination for your kids for the whole day with great lot of activities and entertainment awaits here. I was really impressed glancing through the glasses of northern wing of R city mall to catch the glimpse of this amazing new world for our kids. The rapid boarding and instructions process leads you in to explore the vast bounties of this world especially created for the kids. Lovely interior (relishingrascal.wordpress.com)

Beautiful lanes at kidzania (relishingrascal.wordpress.com)

With security bracelets tightened on our wrists, and a check of 50 kidzoes (the currency of kidzania) we stepped in to the world of awesomeness. This new world seemed to never have experienced a grey day or a sunset for that matter. The beautiful blue sky and the lush green trees promised a good spring season in here even when it was raining cats and dogs outside. The glamour of the stores and the beauty of the well built buildings and offices would certainly aww you. The clean and well maintained lanes and alleys intersected at proper points giving way to more incredible stops to explore. The special seats and lounge rooms for parents are made for convenience too, not that you’ll need them, all thanks to the excitement of watching your kids play multiple roles all in a day. The first step was encashing the cheque at the Yes bank for some kidzoes notes and moving ahead for the tasks to complete. All these process including encashing the cheques needed a brief scanning of your bracelets.

All the tasks you did are either plus or minus, when you chose a plus signed task, you get to earn for your services. While if you chose the latter, you tend to spend some of your kidzoes. Hence, the balance seems proportional and exciting too. This gave my kids the understanding that whenever you need to spend somewhere, you must earn in order to be able to do that. My clever little money minded chaps planned to earn loads and later to spend them generously. Hence, they went for being a dabba wala first. This gave them an opportunity to deliver some dabbas across the kidzania city and earn some kidzoes in return of it. So, along with a white coat, a safety cap and a typical dabba wala cap, went my kids with a cart to collect and deliver the dabbas. Wherever they went, they were greeted with a cheerful ki (Hi in their language) and a victory sign to go with it. This task took no more than fifteen minutes by the kids at a regular pace. Being a dabbawala (relishingrascal.wordpress.com)

This done, they went to get some knowledge on examination and testing of fruits. For this they have to set off collect and examine some fresh kiwis and write the results of it on a writing pad all in a group of three. Again, this led them earning some more kidzoes. This one took approximately 15 minutes of time.

After this they loved being able to spend some kidzoes to go for a kidzania certified culinary course at bajaj electricals school. With the help of a talented and helpful chef, they prepared a healthy chocolate roll with in 20 minutes and along with a certificate for their efforts. Culinary course (relishingrascal.wordpress.com

Boys and their love for cars! Just can’t separate the two. Well, kidzania helped to bond them more. My son went for a maruti driving school course of 20 minutes spending some kidzoes and returning with a kidzania driving licence. Learning driving (relishingrascal.wordpress.com)

Fashion show and modelling is what girls aspire the most. My daughters after spending some kidzoes, got to be trained for a fashion show and walk the ramp in a theatre in some lavish and cool clothes with an astounding style

Fashion show training (relishingrascal.wordpress.com) Shoping at big bazaar with no mummy to nudge and shout is what my baby loved the most out there. A trolley full of toys and the easiest way to pay in the mall is what she actually experienced the first time ever.

The aspiring doctors, my kids loved being a doctor and getting all the knowledge you needed to be for the same with in ten minutes and later using that knowledge to tend to an ailing patient bringing him back to the hospital in an ambulance. Doctor training (relishingrascal.wordpress.com)

My kids were overwhelmed to try out preparing mango Frooti exactly the way it’s made at the factory and later getting a complimentary pack of the same within 20 minutes and even earning some kidzoes. Well, haven’t we got so many kidzoes notes to take care of? So, we opted to get a debit card instead from yes bank and use that. It was pretty easy with just depositing your kidzoes in the bank and getting your bracelet scanned and yo, we get th debit cards with our names and details in it. So, here we took off to become a dentist by examining a patient’s tooth from nearby and do the needful tasks to cure the same with in just 20 minutes. Dentist training (relishingrascal.wordpress.com)

Kids enjoyed most being an RJ at radio city and letting their fans hear about them and a brief information on the ongoing festival of Ganesh chaturthi. RJ on Air (relishingrascal.wordpress.com)

Those Kellogg’s chocos they munched so rapidly, they never knew it took so many efforts to get it made up and packed. Well, they learnt all that and made some too at the kidzania chocos outlet within 20 minutes and spending some kidzoes. The yummy art of making a super yummy donuts was exceptional. They loved working through out tipping generous chocolate on the fresh donuts and ravishing it later. They also became an expert in making Sbarro’s delectable pizzas and Hardy’s scrumptious burgers and even try and taste their work with so much pride. Learning making a pizza (relishingrascal.wordpress.com)

These, and some more activities like delivering parcels and couriers being DHL courier person, a furniture expert in kidzania pepperfy training centre, a fireman with a proper fireman instructions class and an ambulance to ride on a real fire to extinguish, shiamak dance classes, bollywood acting school, animation centres, paddle pop ice candy making factory, parachute hair spa, camlin art and painting school, nerolac home painting, preparing cadbury dairy milk, star tv studio, parle candy house and much much more were so much fun to explore and indulge in. Woodcraft course (relishingrascal.wordpress.com)

I must say, for all the curios minds out there and those exploring little souls, kidzania is the best place to get to play all the roles they so much aspire in their life. The experiences they normally couldn’t even go near, can be experienced first hand with experts trainee staff in the most gentle way possible. The charming affectionate smile you get here is contagious plus not to forget the various add on activities according to the dates and festivals like the Ganesh chaturthi event that happened here with a thali decoration and an amazing group dance on Ganesh festival. If asked, I would strongly recommend each parent to take their kids for a jolly good time exploring these new ways at kidzania!

Everyday of being mommy!

The Indian Blogger Awards 2017

Getting up with the rising sun but feeling still sleepy! Going on, starting those chores. Doesn’t feel like smiling, but still I do when i wake up ny little one for school. Rushing and running within fifteen minutes of getting up so that the kid isn’t late to school. Doesn’t feel like cooking, bit still I do, make a meal, a healthier one, for my little one.

Pheww!! The child’s gone! Oh my God!! Husband needs to be woken up. Rush, rush rush!! Wake him up, prepare a good breakfast, pack the tiffin and pheww! Even he’s gone.

Let’s heave a sigh of relief! Oh Gosh! Baby is tossing, Oh my God! nooo, not now! But this one didn’t hear that. Why? Because he’s already crying on top of his voice. Run, run, run! Get him a feed. Oh God! He’s still screaming, let atleast the milk heat itself a little. Yeah, finally. He’s happy with the feed, gives me a smile and wait, ohh, finished it already and is already on an another mission.

Don’t tell me! How can he load his diaper when I haven’t even had a proper five minutes in bathroom? But who cares? ,He needs immediate attention or else, you know, your hears are going to be banged with loads to clean too. Noo! Not that mess, let’s get over this.

Ok, bathed and dressed, we seem to be happy playing with those blocks. Let’s get the cleaning done. Glad, bedroom looks fantastic, let’s get to kitchen and have some food. Feels good to have something finally after being running around the house for two hours consecutively. Ok, so little one enters here too toddling slowly and giving cute smile. Let’s share the meal!

Half of the meal in clothes and hopefully half in tummy, get him cleaned again, let’s head to the bedroom. Blink blink! Am I dreaming? Thought so there was a bed of mine behind those heap of topsy turvy things out there! The very perfectly managed room was all trashed and messed. I get a cute smile back when I stare at the culprit standing with me.

Four hours past! Hush! Baby’s asleep, lunch is cooked. I am full, let’s take a nap. Haww!! Feels great lying down and my eyelids are already dropping. Ding ting ding! Doorbell rings. Ok, the elder one’s home! “Hey, welcome back”, although feeling extremely sleepy, the glad fresh smile is genuine.

Well, sleep is a forgotten story, time to be a tutor after refreshing and fulling up the tummy of this big guy. Not to forget, the junior is around the corner on a mission against studies, tutor and especially on those pages of the books. Sigh! Two hours, literature and mathematics done, with hushing the little one away from the colourful books and stopping him from snatching those pencils.

Cooking time is the toughest! Both of them seem to be having all sorts of nature calls, fights and urgent needs at the same time. Doreamon acts like an angel at that time. Well, as fast as I can, cooking task gets completed. When mr. Daddy comes, I get a partner in dealing with the hoolygons, a little tired one though!

After dinner house looks like a whole cyclone has passes through it. Getting them in bed, a task to be completed any how immediately because I want to read something today, let’s see if I get some time and energy for it. Afer all those alleged calls from lions, bears and ugly old lady, they are finally snoring.

Oh my, my! I just couldn’t describe the bliss I feel when I see both of them fast asleep! And when I glanced at their dad, I know he feels the same. Too tired even to move, I yawned, showered and was ready to just drop dead, reading, can wait! Thank God, tomorrow’s a sunday. But I’ll have to wake up early tomorrow too, because the little one needs attention at 7a.m. in the morning. But that can be compensated as I have their dad to share the load.

With drooping eyes, I got a bomb to hear, “let’s go for a picnic tomorrow!” Eyes opened wide I repeated, “picnic tomorrow?” And the cassette started playing, getting the two excited kids ready, preparing all the snacks and drinks, managing the two fidgeting souls trying to drag almost everything they get their hands on, and not to forget the travel sickness to go with it. Ok, so let’s drop the plan, it’s going to be a huge flop!

But then, I glanced at those sleeping little ones and imagined all the glory they are going to feel and the exploring they are going to do, I smiled. said ,”yes, let’s go for a picnic tomorrow!” I know I would be dead tired when I’ll be back, would regret each second when they’ll drive me nuts, would end up being more crazy, but it’s ok, I’ll be glad! Feel the most pleasure ful seeing my kids happy. Well, that’s being a mommy, that’s motherhood!!
