Getting ready for #MyFriendAlexa!

So, it’s the first time for me! I am all nervous and confused and searching all those articles on Alexa rank and browsing through twitter with the hashtag, #MyFriendAlexa and literally spamming blogchatter team there with my queries! Thanks God their patient and didn’t block me for this!

But I guess, I have got the main idea digested! It’s a blogging festival! A big one! That’ll eventually help me get a higher performance for my blog and not to forget getting the better ranking at its highness, Alexa. The lower I rank at Alexa, the higher I rank in the blogging world. Plus the interactions and genuine feedback’s I would be getting on my blog would be another positive factor to look forward to.

What’s more? For the love of reading, I get to read some varied works of numerous bloggers all so experienced and amazing writers because of this fest. A minimum of eight or many in one or many niches are welcome here too.

I guess, I should dedicate my September to a month full of variety of niches covered in this blogging fest. I would start a chain of blogs with genres and cover almost all aspects of lifestyle and other niches while we complete the fest. For example, my first blog would be on pregnancy stages while second can be on fashion styles. I can dedicate my third one for food and the fourth one for technology. Similarly, writing on travel for the fifth and finance for the sixth would be a great choice too. I am planning to let my seventh post be dedicated to food and eighth one for travel! Who knows I may even cross the eight figure and write more! May be the ninth one would be on parenting and tenth one can be on home decor ideas and I can even write an eleventh on fiction and more on parenting and more.

Let see if these ideas work and I can survive through this challenge after the A2Z challenge! Wish me luck and stay tuned for a month full of varied and exciting posts!

I grew up….

She felt the chill pass through her veins when the drop kissed her forehead! Then came another, one more and tip, tip, tip, the rain started. She veiled her face with her file and ran to the nearest small local cafe. People were already rushing to get saved from rains. Luckily, she caught a chair at a small table and ordered tea. She gazed out, sighed, it’s rains again, already! No wonder the scorching heat was unbearable but the rains, more nuisance. Stressed! She felt, deep in her thoughts, she gazed out.

That feeling when the room went dark and she was sneaking out of the window to find the grey formation of clouds around and screeching with delight watching them,”Mummy, it’s going to start raining, yay! Yay!” And this catching a glimpse of dark clouds and crying out silently,” The trains are going to be late, shit!” She grew up!

Opening up her little palms, enjoying the kisses of those cold droplets on her hands, trying to collect them all in her tiny clutches and now wiping her hands as soon as they got wet from rains, she grew up!

Closing her eyes, giving in herself to the sky, let the clouds get a better view of her face as they pour some rainy love on it to now shielding it with something so that her make up didn’t fade away, she grew up! I bet her wet innocence was more attractive than her dry make up!

Splash! Splash! One foot after the other and giggling loudly as she dashed through the paths after her friends to now double folding her denims and keeping each step lightly so that don’t even the slippers get some dirt of the rainy streets, She grew up!

Dancing freely to get more wetter than she already was to now hugging herself even more so as to avoid the drenched form, she grew up!

From enjoying the rainy long days from within the window to worrying about getting the washed clothes dry, she grew up!

A sigh passed her lips as she frowned thinking, the rains are the same as they were then, the grey colour of the clouds when it’s about to rain has been their tradition since infinity, the green grasses getting soft and muddy and the formation of those tiny puddles have been as it has been since years! Then what changed? Why can’t the rains now be the same as they were then?

what made her actually grow up? She glanced at the watch hanging, time? Time just passes, growing up is mandate, but time doesn’t restrict you from enjoying something that’s naturally beautiful! Then what? She saw the rush, she knew the answer already!!

The voices were clear even today, “wash off your feet, you splashed the whole puddle on your legs, wash them vigorously.” “Shhh! Don’t scream on just the sounds of the rains, so silly it looks!” “Why did you get drenched? You should have stood under some roof.” “Hey, change fast.You’ll catch cold otherwise.” These statements, these repeated commands, some way or another left a mark on her memory and ultimately her life.

It was the society! The society that forced her to grow up, the people around who created norms and broke them according to their conveniences and carved the same prints to the younger minds, just because they have been passed the inheritance of the same. This society which gradually changed the fun associated with nature into nuisance and the growing minds readily agreed to it and grew up defining it the same way to carry this tradition forward.

Growing up doesn’t means giving up joy and innocence, it’s rather a process to increase the same by passing it out to others. She stood up, smiled widely and knew what to do next!

The small crowd gathered near the cafe were smiling watching the lady who was enjoying rains with little kids of the area, as if she was one if them, as if she wasn’t a grown up!

Beat stress and anxiety naturally!

Busy we, busy lifestyle and busy the world around us! The time for relaxing, reading, napping or just silently talking to ourselves isn’t sparred any more, let alone the thought of spending some quality time sharing our ups and downs with friends. The truth is, we the creators of machines, have turned in to a machine in the course of time. Working for regular hours in the offices, later bot finishing off the pending work and taking the same at home and not to forget the piles of domestic work to be done too. It isn’t any matter of gender. Nowadays, both men and women, office workers and home makers seem to lack time for any of their personal matters. This, is what leads to a person being stressed!

When we know we can’t finish the pending works on deadlines, when we know even if we rush, we just couldn’t reach a place on time. When we from within know very well we just can’t open and start up the hobby ideas we resolved to do during new year even though we will be trying a lot. This is what causes maximum anxiety and stress.

Well, there are innumerable stress relievers in the market.Each one of them ranging from cheap prices to highest range of money. But we know very well that using them solely wouldn’t destress us, rather, it may increase it because of their huge pressure on your budget. You may get a temporary solution to your stress and anxiety through them, but inside you know that you have to do something to destress in the most natural way.

Now, let’s jump to the cause of it. The main cause of stress is not getting time to do what we want to do on time, so make sure we change a little bit of our sleep habits, a little bit of our mobile habits, little bit of our daily routine to make some more room for time so that we can finish those work before time. The other solution is the simple thing that never postpone your today’s work for tomorrow. This leads to piling up our work and in the end we don’t finish up doing it. So, make sure you finish your daily target on the same day.

Make a rough schedule of your daily activities and try to follow it religiously. This will help you deal with situations better.

Open up your old novels that are still waiting to be read by a book lover sleeping deep inside you. Wake up that painter in you who loves playing with colours. Let’s bring that music lover inside you who is living in silence since ages. Bake some cakes and prepare deiceous treats to let the world know you have a hidden chef inside you. In short, give some time to your hobbies. They will relieve you like never before. Try it!

Lie down on your back and loosely close your fists, just like a baby does! Let’s stop clasping things in our hands tightly, let it all go, you need some space in life, let the waste go, detox your thoughts as you loosely close your eyelids while you lie down. It’s ok if you take a nap, this will surely refresh you.

Give in to your cravings. Go and have that huge cheesy burger you were eyeing since days! Let maturity take a step behind, it’s not good to always stay practical and health conscious, sometimes, life needs a cheat. And believe me, this cheat during stress will make you more happy and healthy. Yes, because minding your diet too strictly can cause a lot of stress too. So, let’s take a break and have your favourite dessert you want.

Remember the old days, when we used to be too much tensed during exams times, our mums used to give us a good oil massage! This, is what needed even today. You can use any oil and slowly massage it with light fingers through your scalp pressing on temple points. This will give you great relief.

Take a long bath or shower using your Favourite fragrances. This will soothe and relax you instantly and will refresh you in the most pleasant way.

Keep aside your mobile for a while, call your bestie or sister or mum through landline. Or just switch off the WiFi and call them from your cell. Talk to them, chat endlessly and have fun. Plan a good time together for tea or ice cream treat and make some way for happiness in your life.

Go for a short stroll around some greenery in your area or plan a short/long vacation. Whichever you can afford. Spend some time away from those stress boosters and get the energy you need to tackle with them from that time on.

Put on your favourite song, listen to some music of your choice, humm along, let your senses rest and get the peace they desire.

These are some natural ways that may not tax your daily schedule and leave some space for me time in your life. Hence, de-stressing you, in the most easiest way. Apart From these, you may get attracted to anti destress drugs, perfumes or rehab centres for that matter. But, I personally think, these are only temporary solutions. The more you twist and turn your daily lifestyle and make way for the stress relievers from within your daily routine, the more are your chances of getting a stress and anxiety less lifestyle ahead! So, let’s not waste more of your precious time, let’s start from now and help yourself the best way!

Sheesha- a tabboo or trend?

21st century and the rapidly progressing society! The most versatile generation in the human history. The generation that have acquired almost everything in the least amount of time and is striving more on this field. The generation that follows trend religiously well even when it’s for a short period of time and still changing with the times and trends accordingly.

In this century, where nothing last longer than just a few months, the trend or habit of sheesha have proclaimed it’s position for longer than expected and the craze for the same being increasing day by day. The non cigarette addiction that has proudly replaced cigarettes in the society, seems to have broken all the barriers and is minding each of our lives.

When on one hand we are spreading the message of quitting smoking on all social media platforms because it contains tobacco and prove dangerous for your lungs, we proudly flaunt our 3 to 4 feet high sheesha and blow away the warnings in the smoke of it being dangerous too.

Haven’t we all read the warnings printed on all the Flavour boxes that says it contains tobacco and can cause cancer? Still, no one seems to take it as dangerous! Why? Because sheesha is now each ones need on a daily basis lifestyle. The addiction that follows it is another major hazard that we tend to avoid. We all know whatever causes an addiction in human body is dangerous and needs to be avoided. But still, the addiction of sheesha seems to be a class statement and something to be proud of.

What’s more, while cigarettes and alcohol are allowed only after a certain age in our society, sheesha is easily accessible to all age groups. From school kids to women, seniors citizens or house wives, everyone flaunts their sheesha selfie proudly on social media sites with loads of smoke being giving out in public. Isn’t this smoke as hazardous as the smoke of those cigarettes being smoked. It becomes more serious when we know that each wedding or social function includes sheesh too as part of the food being arranged for the guest. Hence, indirectly giving a hand in increasing this addiction. Even restaurants and food places are being granted it’s license by the state. And nothing could be compared to this that each home today has a sheesha at home, thus making it more easily accessible to minors too.

What we need to think is, though we are not smoking cigarette directly, s are replacing the same with sheesha, aren’t we being prone to a more dangerous situation than we already were in? We can easily satisfy our inner self that we didn’t intake tobacco, but aren’t the tons of flavour’s that we blend in to smoke are more hazardous than the tobacco.

Today, when the whole generation is crazily following the dangerous trend of sheesha and not even considering it as dangerous, isn’t it our duty to let them stop from consuming this slow poison? Can’t we just make them aware that whatever they are consuming can also cause cancer, lung diseases and much much more. The huge antic pieces of sheesha that they so very proudly flaunt on their divans are actually going to harm or even kill their kids, women and themselves too. Isn’t it our duty to let them understand that underage kids smoking sheesha isn’t nothing to be proud of, rather, it’s a cause of worry.

I need all your support, all the readers that I have today, it’s our duty as humans to save our fellow beings from being killed with this dangerous habit of sheesha. Let’s all together spread this post and make people understand that the trend grasping the generation like fire can burn us in to ashes and we are openly, with wide arms, welcoming it.

Face stress the smart way!

When negativity reigns, you know you are in trouble! The more you think to untangle those complexities, the more they seem to intervine in them strongly. The miserable feeling following this does the rest! You seem to feel as if you are on the worst cloud of your life at the worst piace in the worst time. But still, as the best is always yet to arrive, so is the worst. You just can’t say whatever you have still faced was the worst, you just don’t know if tomorrow comes knocking your today with more negative incidents.

This, is what increases your stress level boosting it to its extreme and you acting immensely weird. No doubt, you tend to bark at every second person available, cry as if you just lost a loved one, think so negatively, as if there’s nothing good left in your life. This needs to be repaired, any how! Or else, you’ll end up with a tangled needed of incidents In your life making it more miserable to lead.

So, lets glance at some of these handy steps which will help you distress and emerge as a winner in this losing situation.

  • Drink a glass full of chilled water or a sweet juice or drink in this situation. Many a times, people tend to eat junk or get a craving for the same at depressed times. Well, that’s just your body actually demanding water, but we tend to avoid it and in result consume loads of calories that’s need to be burnt later. More over, drinking chilled water may help in relax your senses and giving you time to over think the events in a refreshed way too. A sweet liquid would act as a glucose agent in case it’s reduced during those anger pranks you get.

  • Read something good and interesting. You may or may not be a reader for this method. But try reading something that would catch your attention instantly. It may be a bollywood gossip column or a romantic mills and boon novel. Try getting distracted from the current situation by this source as much as possible.
  • Write something that would help you bring out your feelings or canned up feelings through words. According to experts, writing plays an important role while people try to distress. When you just can’t speak your minds in front of people due to various reasons (that’s a major reason of increasing stress level), writing does help.
  • Breath in and out for some minutes or try a plank position. This will actually help you keep calm and divert your attention to some other situation all together.
  • Cook, bake, paint or create something. The joy of being creating your own idea in the form of food, song or painting for that matter is the best feeling and above all the others. Hence, while you concentrate on your hobby, you are actually beating up the rotating cycle of stress on top of your head. While, these are only stress relievers temperorily, the permanent remedy for releasing stress is facing it after giving your self the time it needs to reciprocate in the best way possible by following the above steps. After following these actions, you’ll perceive the situation in a more broad way, getting ideas to overcome the situations and try to help yourself by trying out each situation in a line. Never get demotivated just because plan A never worked, remember there are still 25 alphabets left to name those remaining plans. And in the end, always remember, life’s all about facing difficult situations and making way for the better ones. No challenges means no excitement in life. It’s not the end till you are alive! The best is yet to come, after the worst gets a proper defeat!

Better late than never!

A mother of three, a home maker with sixteen people in the family, the one woman in the family who doesn’t look up around from the pool of chores she have to fulfill and already turning 30! Imagine this woman, suddenly being determined to fulfill her dream of being a writer after leaving it being for atleast a decade.

Well, yes! Thats me! The one girl who gre up striving with the dream of getting a PhD degree in psychology and being a great author one day. But, bring from a conservative family was the only chain that succeeded in caging out that dreams behind the walls of womanhood. Getting married at an early age followed by two kids in a gap of few years added more to the plan. Some more responsibilities of being in a huge family with so much socialising was another string that still tightened the ropes together.

Well, one fine day while nursing my last kid, scrolling through facebook feeds, I found myself again. The girl with so many dreams I left behind so many years ago. She wanted to come true of all those chains, she wanted to breathe free, she wanted an identification of her own, she wanted to live, yes finally she wanted to live being herself!

Not that I wasn’t happy in my previous roles. Those were exceptionally awesome, but I really wanted to live my dreams. Wanted to know for my talent. I discussed the same with my husband, and he suggested me, it’s never too late to start dreaming once again! He encouraged me to find myself again,to live my dreams again and start what I left out with.

So, at the age of 29, I started learning wide global languages like French and Arabic and Russian. I started with being a social media influencer and promoting brands on various social channels, slowly and steadily I started writing, though writing books replaced writing blogs, writing fiction novels replaced writing more about the in trends of fashion and yukt delights of food, but still I got a space to put my creativity forward.

Gradually, my blog started getting a lot of approval on all platforms and even being nominated for one of the best blogs awards. It got me the fame, I so much craved for, the identification I so much dreamt of.

I couldn’t continue on those formal degrees of colleges and graduation to get me a PhD, but still I am doing some private certified courses for the same. Although, I lived a decade in vacuum and couldn’t succeed in bringing my dreams to life, but still even after starting late, I am far ahead of those who got all the education and chances that I couldn’t get in life.

Well,I personally think it’s all because of my husband’s encouragement I got and those love I got from my kids. I often just think, thank God, I started, although a little late, but it’s better than never being able to do anything!

Well, lets think again than! Thats what you need now if you are deteriorating with those growing numbers being added to your age figure. I seriously think you need a cold shower, a harsh splash of chilled water on your face and a loud music and a must read of this blog carefully.

am that you so very much wanted to fulfill long back,bit you just have to leave it alone, reasons only you know. After all these years,you have the time, money and source to do it, but you just can’t take the step forward, why? Because you are so afraid, of maybe, what world may think about it! Ok, so I am a little right here! Let the workd think damn right now! Step your foot down, and take that first step to achieve your dreams, soon the world will watch you as an example, not with an unknown nobody.
If age us stopping you to catch up what you left incomplete, let us all recall that saying which saud, age is just a number! Well, I think you have enough number to strengthen you to catch up, rather than being left completing those numbers to God knows till which count at a vacuum, not knowing where it may stop.

Now, comes those milestones which you already achieved, but it. Would have taken you somewhere better if you have worked more towards that direction. You know very well which sense I am talking about. Lets take that step and give your talent the name it needed,let the world know it was you whi did such an amazing thing,but never had the source to show it off. Belive me, social media nowadays is the perfect source of getting your hidden talent known worldwide. Well, lets hope for the new posts that could make wonders now.

Now, comes those, who always propritised their loved ones achievements and dreams and hence, never gave a thought for themselves. Now, after years, when you see them climbing those ladders of success and fame, you find yourself so lonely, so small and so lost! Well, it’s not over buddy! Give yourself sone time, think what you can achieve still, which of course you can. Make a decision, determine yourself, and go!!! I am sure you are going to find a way towards your dreams and that too pretty soon. After all, aspirations and goals are the things that keeps us going, without any goal, we are just as neutral as a dead body. So,dream today, set a goal and head on to achieve the same with all your might.
Now, the last ones, those which were so busy living their busiest lives the way they wanted, they left themselves behind, ingat those crowd of faces that they forgot what they actually are. They forgot to enjoy those tiny moments of life that would now had been the loveliest memories they would have cherished! Well, hang on! Sit a bit! Take a deep breath and imagine yourself as a child once again. Watch some cartoon shows, enjoy those nonsense, lets forget reality for a while. Call those friends, no matter if you havemt contacted them since ages and they would consider you as mean, you can always explain. If not those,make new ones. Plan an outing, a holiday, your work can wait. Let it wait! Bring that sweet smile and that musical laughter once again, pam per yourself and enjoy your life hence forth.

Phew!! There’s a lot to do! But, the reason behind the whole post is, to get to know that you are still alive. You have a life which can still beautify and improve. No matter if you have everything today, but if you don’t have happiness and satisfaction, your life is missing the asset it needs. And especially for those who think time have passed and their age doesnt permit them to do so, always remember, it’s never too late to grab what is yours! And your dreams, were always yours, no matter what the circumstances have been.
